Our Story
Hi, I’m Kathy, the maker behind From Seeds to Soap.
After a long career in the corporate world, I finally have time to fully embrace something Ive loved for years- growing things and turning what comes from my garden into useful beautiful products.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, my garden is where I cultivate luffa, fragrant herbs, and vibrant flowers. I take this harvest and transform it into simple, purposeful products. You might find me crafting small batches of soap infused with homegrown luffa, or perhaps mixing herbal salts and drying florals to see what the season inspires next.
Every item is produced by hand with a commitment to local, small-batch quality. There is a special joy in witnessing the journey of a plant—starting as a single seed in my soil and evolving into something beautiful and beneficial.

What Are Luffa's
 "No two Luffa's are the same"
Luffas are tropical and subtropical gourds—not sea sponges. They grow on vines much like cucumbers. When harvested young, luffa can even be eaten as a vegetable in many parts of the world.
When left on the vine to fully mature and dry, the flesh disappears and leaves behind the fibrous interior we know as a natural luffa sponge.

At From Seeds to Soap, our luffas are grown from seed, harvested, dried and prepared by hand before becoming part of our soaps.
Because they are grown by nature, no two luffas are exactly alike. They naturally vary in size, shape, color and texture.

And because our soaps are handcrafted in small batches, no two bars will ever be exactly alike either.
